If your Samsung Smart TV is acting up and having intermittent Wifi connection issues then here is a possible quick fix to get it back to proper working state. Note that this is only a potential fix because like any TV problem, this may be caused by a number of issues that may include software and hardware problems that may require more than a quick fix.
Symptoms
- Inconsistent/intermittent wifi connection,
- Wifi turning on/off and on/off repeatedly,
- Weak or no wifi signal, etc.
Try this: Reset the Network Settings
If you are seeing the above symptoms on your TV, the first thing you could try is to run the the “Reset Network” function in the Samsung TV’s settings. You can do that via the menu system’s “Settings” menu. After pressing the Source button on the Samsung remote, scroll to the gear icon which represent the Settings menu. Once inside the Settings menu, scroll to the General settings represented by the wrench icon . Then choose Network and then scroll to the Reset Network funcion.
Again, that’s Settings >> General >> Network >> Reset Network
After doing this, your TV will restore your TV’s network settings to factory defaults so you will need to reenter your network ID and password to reconnect.
