Hisense TV has no pictures, only black screen (sound working)

Having issues with your Hisense flat screen LCD/LED TV? Here’s a quick guide on troubleshooting and fixing a very common cause for this problem. If your Hisense TV is showing no pictures/images on the screen (also called the Black Screen of Death, which is a notorious issue that afflicts a lot of LCD TVs at some point), one very common reason for this is a faulty T-Con board.

The folks at Fix Netflix Youtube channel created the video below that details the steps that you can follow to properly troubleshoot your T-Con board. Note that this problem may have other causes and the T-Con board is not the the only usual suspect. The T-Con board is a controller that connects the main board to the LCD panel so it is possible that the main board could be the cause, or one of the causes, of the LCD screen no longer displaying images. The video below actually gave the steps performed to eliminate the main board as a cause of the problem for this case and arrive at the conclusion that it was indeed the T-Con board.

One of the good takeaway from the video is the fact that, while it is possible to repair a faulty T-Con board, it may be more practical to simply replace it entirely due to difficulty sourcing spare parts (e.g., IC chips, etc.) for the T-Con board. These boards are relatively affordable and most repairers just replace them outright when suspected of fault, before they proceed fixing other possible malfunction. In many cases, replacing this board fixes the problem.

I have a Hisense flat screen, it is blank but the has a sound. When we switch it off and on it plays for 10 to 15 then blank again. Some days it plays well almost a day. What could be the issue?

Same situation for a 65R6107 (I think it is the canadian version of your TV). Tried 2 replacement T-cons, no picture.
Tried 2 alternative main boards for similar models, I can hear the TV turn on and the sound, but backlight is on and no picture.
I’m gonna try to find a power supply board. It seems something is not getting enough voltage somewhere.
